The magic of 40 Qulhu

A few weeks go, I had to go to a PPD WP which is next to Stadium Negara (as I found out later). It was a Friday and I started from the office in Cheras about 11 am. Knowing that traffic would be horrendus to go anywhere in KL on Fridays, I was worried sick that I would not made it on time to the govt. office knowing that govt counters are a stickler for closing on time, 12.15 pm on Fridays. I was panicky when at 11.45 am we were still stuck at Jalan Pudu. With traffic bumper-to-bumper, by 12.00 I decided to stop panicking and to be calm and let fate take it course, kalau sampai, sampai le... if not try again another time. To while away the time, I decided to recite the Al-Ikhlas 40 times and doa that Allah will help ease my errand with PPD WP. I finished the Al-Ikhlas as we entered the parking lot at 12.14 pm. My heart missed a bit when I saw the parling lot was deserted. I dashed out while my hubby parked the car. To save time, I quickly asked for direction from the guard. He showed me where to go, I ran to into the building but there was no one at the counter. My salam went unanswered. Trying my luck, I tried a few doors, kot-kot diorang tak dengar. It was unlocked but no one was in. Well, my guess was everybody has left for the Friday break and the guard had not locked the doors yet. Pergh... 1 1/2 hours wasted. As I was walking towards the parking lot, there was a car entering a parking space. Well, hard luck, I thought, that person missed the boat, too. Putting on a smile, I gave salam. The lady replied and asked what was our business being there. We quickly replied that we were too late to submit our forms at the counter as everybody had left the office. The lady said sorry and that all her officers had to attend meetings at various places. She said to follow her and she'd help. Not knowing who she was, we followed her to the office. She flipped the light switch on as she kicked off her shoes and suddenly a male officer appeared out of nowhere. She asked the guy to photocopy my forms (as I had not made enough copies, booboo). Then she signed the approval at the dotted lines. While she was doing that, I took the time to look around andd my eyes fell on the organization chart. Sure, the lady's picture was on the chart, right on top! As she handed over the signed forms, she patiently explained what to do next, I gushed "Thank You, Datin". She then cordially tell us to ask for her personally next time we come. She even conveyed to us that she will be in the office by 6.15 am everyday if we want to come early to avoid the jam. Yes, Datin, thank you, Datin and we were out by 12.45 pm. Wow, what a miracle! Then I rememebered I recited the 40 Qulhu. Well, it showed that Allah never fail us if only we ask for help. Subhanallah!
