Musafir aka traveller

The place where my husband works recently acquired a new CEO. In order to get to know the organization, he has asked his top management team to go on a road tour with him to all the branches in the country and this has to occur during the month of Ramadhan. The last trip will be right on the weekend before hariraya which means they would be in joining the raya exodus for balik kampung. I wish the trips could have been postponed till after hariraya because we were caught off-guard for not being prepared for hariraya yet. There are tons of things to buy in preparation for hariraya. But just now I realized the ingenuity of this new person. What better way to test the mettle of his management team than to travel together and during fasting month at that. Not only he gets to meet all the staff at the branch offices, he also has the chance to observe his management team quite intimately as they not only have to spend time together in meetings and meals but also during terawih prayers. This new CEO has stated when he reported for duty that he wishes to retain the existing staff and thus will not undertake any restructuring exercise (which brought about mixed feeling amongst staff - not so good for the wanabes and relief to some who dread changes plus other feelings). I hope he is as smart as what we have seen so far of him. Hopefully, you wont' run out of steam before the end of your contract, Dato'.
